About Me

About Me

Hey everyone,

Jason Rivera here.

This is me below…

I’m a self-taught value investor who focuses on small and obscure public companies to buy for my investors and subscribers.

I’m also looking for private businesses and cash flow producing real estate to buy for my holding company Rivera Holdings LLC.

I’m the author of the acclaimed value investing education book How To Value Invest.

I’ve run this blog Value Investing Journey for more than five years now.

I wrote a 60-page book detailing the immense power of investment float that I released for free to readers of this blog and followers – on Twitter and Facebook – titled On Float.Have written for several publications and investment newsletters

I’ve written for several publications and investment newsletters including: Seeking Alpha, Guru Focus, Insider Monkey, and Palm Beach Research Group among others.

I also coach others on how to become great value investors.

Evaluate businesses for other small business owners and/or investors.

Consult on projects requiring business analysis and valuation skills, marketing, copywriting, and other valuable skills.

And run my investment holding company Rivera Holdings LLC. out of the Tampa Florida area where I live with my wife, two – soon to be three – daughters.

I’m also an avid saltwater fisherman and try to go out at least once every two weeks to unwind, think, relax, and hopefully catch some fish to bring home to cook.

Picture of me with one of the biggest, and tastiest fish I’ve caught thus far, a 40 inch to the fork, 40 to 50-pound cobia.

Through the first five full years of my investment career I’ve produced returns of 29.2% for investors – on average not compounded – every year.  This is better than the 25.4% Buffett produced in the first five years of his career.

Looking forward to meeting and talking with many of you in the future.

  1. Jason:

I would potentially be interested in collaborating with you.

I have a little bit of experience, I’ve been investing since I was 18.

I have a BBA with a finance major. I also have a JD degree. I’ve been posting on the Yahoo! message boards for years. I have a few “guest” articles on different “value” websites.

I am going to suggest that you will need a detailed strategy to produce market beating results.

My primary strategy (at this point) is to go into micro & nano cap stocks. This particular area of the market is not particularly efficient. For example, I have invested in companies with P/E’s of 1 or 2. I have invested in companies that have paid out MORE than my purchase price in dividends within a 4 year period and have gone up 7x.

These companies will have no analyst coverage and are somewhat difficult to find…

It is my opinion that you will make your market beating gains by having stocks that have gone up 10x, 20x, and even 50X and 100X. Of course, this will take time, but it is most definitely doable.

    Good luck.
