Current Portfolio

Current Portfolio

You may have noticed the prior Current Portfolio page was taken down.

I decided to take it down last week after I realized it was one of the most viewed pages on this site but I hadn’t updated it since 2013.  A useless “current portfolio” if you ask me.

In its place is this new page.

I no longer post the individual companies I recommend because those picks are exclusive to subscribers of Press On Research.  Go to the Press On Research FAQ for more information.  But, I will post the gains and/or losses of the cumulative portfolio below.

I’ll try to do this once per year but this may also change.

This is because I’ve launched my investment holding company Rivera Holdings.  And like Buffett I will not talk about or reveal any companies I’m invested in or own until I have to by law.  Or I’ve sold Rivera Holding’s stake in the company and have no desire to ever buy the company again.

The good news is that Rivera Holdings is open to investors now.  And you DO NOT have to be an accredited investor to invest in the company.  For more information about how to invest with me go here.

Below here are the results I’ve produced up to today on 9/28/2016 and some further information about me.

My name is Jason Rivera and I’m the Chairman, CEO, and Founder of Rivera Holdings an investment holding company.

I’m a strict and disciplined value investor who works to find and buy companies cheaper than what their true value is.

I’ve run the value investment blog Value Investing Journey for five years now.  And written a highly acclaimed value investment education book titled How To Value Invest.

I concentrate on finding smaller companies that are undervalued by a significant margin to what I estimate is the company’s true value.

I’ve found 10 companies just since April 2015 that have returned as of this writing 34% in that time.

In that same time the S&P 500 returned 5%.  And the Dow Jones Industrial Average returned 3%.

If you’re wary of short-term results that’s great because you should be.

Luckily the four full years before this I’ve produced market beating returns as well.

Using only my full year results between 2012 and the end of 2015 my stock picks have returned a cumulative total of 115.5% in those four years.  Or a non-compounded average return of 28.9% each of the four years.

The S&P 500 produced a cumulative return of 37.5% in this four-year period or a non compounded average annual return of 9.4%.  And the Dow Jones produced a cumulative return of 23.4% in this four-year period or a non compounded average annual gain of 5.9%.

If you had $10 million invested with me at the end of 2011 until now I would have turned that money into more than $34.8 million with no new additions of capital.  That includes the gains I’ve produced so far this year.

If you would have invested the same $10 million into the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones you would have $15.6 million and $13.3 million respectively.

Stated another way investing with me would have made you $21.5 and $19.2 million more than investing in the stock market over the last four plus years.

Over this time I’ve also produced better returns in the first four full years of my career than even Warren Buffett did in the first four years of his career.

If you’d invested $10 million with me at the end of 2011 until now I would have made you the $34.8 million mentioned above with no new additions of capital.  If you’d invested with Buffett during the first four years of his career you would have made $20.9 million.

Please contact me at either of the following places so we can talk further or if you’d like further information.
